It works well and was the only one of its kind I could find (that works) that doesn't require GPS and allows me to enter (and save) multiple different locations. I need to monitor places 1400–2200 miles from where I live. It has a setting for alerts for any/all locations. However, in 2–3 yrs of using it I don't think I've ever actually gotten a notification. I monitor weather for these locations via another app and open this when I need it. Wish list: more locations in database, notifications.

Almost cool, but there is limited direction on the app and no settings. The visual is very good with the lighting flashing on the screen. However, the loading time often makes you think it's frozen. I am unsure if you're notified of lightening strikes close to your location. Seems like this is very close to being very good, but not yet.

Location search is awful. Type in "Brookfield" and you get a list of 20 or more with no additional info like state. You get a picture of a flag to indicate country but when it seems there's a Brookfield in every other state in the US, it becomes extremely cumbersome to find the right one. You have to click one, let it go there on the map, delete that one if wrong, click the next one on list after re-running search every time. Tip: don't lose your spot in the results.
